There is a distinctive difference between a landlord and a slumlord. Many of our community members are living in homes that don’t meet their basic needs due to housing legislation that doesn’t advocate for them. Unfortunately, they aren’t aware of their rights.
My tenure on the bench will be dedicated to working with the appropriate stakeholders to help solve the most pressing issues around housing in the precinct and educate the public on their rights as tenants.
Small claims can encompass disputes between two parties over property or money.
It is imperative that we have a quick and timely process for processing these cases so that businesses can thrive and help make our communities more fruitful and inhabitable.
